2015 Christmas Project

2015 Christmas Project

This year we are again focusing on helping working families with children for Christmas. These parents are working but do not have the funds to provide their children Christmas without additional stress to the family.

We partner with HOPE of the Grand Valley’s mission is to provide support and a hand up to hard-working parents and their children who and are not receiving welfare, or housing assistance. This is a group that tends to fall through the cracks of the governmental programs. These are people trying to break the cycle of poverty and doing their best to get ahead and it’s a situation that creates an uncertain future for both parents and their children. HOPE of the Grand Valley is one our strategic partners that help guide our compassion efforts and connect us to real need in our community.

HOPE of the Grand Valley will handle the qualification process and link us with families in our community. We will be providing a gift for each family member, an additional “Santa” gift for the younger children and a Christmas meal for the family. We will be able to connect with the family ahead of time so we can target our efforts and care and we will be inviting them to join us for our Christmas service to receive the gifts.

With our secular culture rapidly removing Christ from Christmas don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to bring the love and compassion of our Saviour to families in our neighborhoods who are burdened with the cares of life and would struggle to see the Light that has come into the world.

You can mark your giving envelope or designate your gift online by selecting the “Christmas Project” fund. If you would like to be involved in the buying of the gifts please email pastorsteve@970.church.
