Prayer Partner Update – 10/3/2013

Thank you so much for upholding us in prayer. We absolutely know that we can not do this in our own strength and that we are dependant on your faith-full prayers. THANK YOU! Please pray as the Spirit guides you but we would also appreciate you lifting the following needs up in prayer this week:

Churches on the Front Range around Denver, CO:

Colorado has been hit hard in 2012 & 2013 with natural disasters: drought, wildfires and most recently historic flooding on the front range. To my knowledge all our sister churches have been spared significant damage but their communities have experienced substantial human and property loss. Convoy of Hope has just pulled out but cleanup and rebuilding is ongoing. Please pray for the churches in these areas that they might provide comfort, hope and help to their own and the communities that they live in. Ask God to bless all those that volunteered and sacrificed to help those in need and particularly for the Rever and Timberline churches for providing leadership and resources for the relief efforts.

NineSevenZero Church:

  • We are now at the point of beginning the process of funding the vision. Please pray for Kingdom minded folks to recognize the opportunity and join us in our mission by providing the funds necessary to launch NineSevenZero Church. Please also pray that we will have the courage and the discernment in how and when we make these invitations.
  • Next steps in the planting process (organization and discipleship systems).
  • Church planting coaching process (district and network). The Rocky Mountain District has appointed John Gowins to serve as our coach. Pray that God would use John to guide and challenge us. We are also looking for other church planters that are 3-5 years ahead of us in their process to also provide some coaching.
  • For God to send co-laborers to join our planting & launch teams (Matt 9:37-38). These folks might be residents of the Grand Valley or Kingdom minded folks that would relocate here to help us launch the church. Ministry leaders and faithful/dedicated servants who will labor with us and support the launch of NineSevenZero Church
  • Worship Leader – a true and skilled worshipper who will train and build teams. Humble in heart with a teachable spirit and that fits the chemistry of our team and the vision of the church.
  • Co-leader(s) for the Celebrate Recovery support group. A changed life who knows the difference that Christ makes and the power of His Spirit.

Team – Personal Needs:

  • Please pray for continued provision, protection and God’s favor.
  • All of us on the team (Steve particularly) are struggling with the demands of the workplace, family and church planting. With all the changes in our work schedules it has been even more difficult for us to find time to be together as a team. Our prayer is that out of this season we will not only better understand the demands of discipleship but also how to help Christ followers be successful in their spiritual development and in their relationships: family, friends and workplace.

 NineSevenZero Church Planting Team Members:

  • Jon & Kate Drackett (Jackson, son)
