Prayer Partner Update – 04/26/2014

I thank my God every time I remember you . . . because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now (Philippians 1:3,5).

Thank you so much for upholding us in prayer. We absolutely know that we can not do this in our own strength and that we are dependent on your faith-full prayers. This has been a big month for us and we’ve sensed God right here with us. Join us in thanking him for his kindness and grace.

  • Things are going well at the rented facility (New Life Church). We are getting the setup and cleanup down to a workable system.
  • God has provided a new part-time job for Steve as a property manager for a small condominium association (Town North).
  • Steve was also offered a teaching contract for the summer semester class at CCU and he was able to attend some of the District Council meetings.
  • Rocky Mountain District of the Assemblies of God has pledged to send monthly support for 12 months to help us launch the church. Pray that God will bless them for their generosity toward us.

Please pray as the Spirit guides you but we would also appreciate you lifting the following up in prayer this week:

Touch-Points into our Greater Community:

  • The local neighborhood: None of the neighbors around the church (NLC) attended our Easter service. Pray that we might be able to establish relationships with a few folks in the local neighborhood.
  • Personal relationships with family, friends and coworkers: The Church is more than a building, more than a collection of programs, even more than the weekend services. To those of like faith it is the Family of God and to the world it is the living testimony of God’s Eternal Kingdom breaking into time and space.
  • Discipleship Groups:  Still working on this. Pray for favor and opportunities to invite those we live among and work with into a deeper relationship. We have the nucleus for a couple groups, the meeting places and the focus but with summer coming on we are going to start them in September with the church public launch.
  • Celebrate Recovery: Launched but still working on connecting with folks in the neighborhoods around Junction Community Church. Don’t have any regulars yet.

NineSevenZero Church:

  • We have postponed our public launch because we have been unable to attract a worship leader for the team. This is our NUMBER ONE need at the moment. PLEASE PRAY for God to call someone to serve with us as our worship leader. A true and skilled worshipper who will train and build teams. Humble in heart with a teachable spirit and that fits the chemistry of our team and the vision of the church. We know that God has prepared someone for this opportunity. Pray that they will have the courage to respond to His call.

Team – Personal Needs:

  • Please pray for continued provision, protection and God’s favor in our community.
  • Please pray for strength, health and discernment in making right decisions in our personal lives.
  • Steve’s new job. Lots to learn and for physical strength to handle the maintenance work.
  • Amanda and the baby’s health.

 NineSevenZero Church Planting Team Members:

  • Steve & Sue Peschke
  • Jon & Kate Drackett (Jackson, son)
  • Nathan & Amanda Haws (baby)
  • Zach Bruzelius
  • Rob & Cindy Carney
