Prayer Partner Update – 7/7/2013

Pray as the Spirit guides you but we would also appreciate you lifting the following needs up in prayer this week:

This is the week that our district presbyters consider our application to become a Rocky Mountain District church plant. This will establish our 501(c)3 status, enable us to finalize our bylaws and begin the process of raising funds. Please pray for wisdom for the presbyters and for God’s will to be ministered through them. We are also praying that God will guide and help us with the critical next steps after their decision.

Friends and Co-Workers of Team Members:

  • Team members are finding lots of opportunity to connect with non-Christian co-workers and those who have been hurt by or have fallen away from the church. These are a few that need miracles:
    • Vickie – cancer patient facing surgery
    • Craig – son who has returned to the valley to care for his mother who is expected to enter hospice soon.
    • Michelle – divorced middle-aged woman with stage three cancer and two children at home. Facing surgery this week.
    • Melissa – mom with cancer. She’s been too sick to work the last 2 weeks.
    • Co-worker’s husband that has cancer and they just found out that it has metastasized into his bones.
  • Area Pastors and Churches:
    • Pastor Rex Townsley, Stillwater Cowboy Church, recovering from colon surgery

NineSevenZero Church:

  • Funds for Launch Team to attend church planter bootcamp (Essentials training) September, 2013 in Pittsburg (travel, lodging and meals). Registration and travel arrangements to be made as soon as the district approves our application. Team members will also need to get time off from their employers to attend.
  • For God to send workers to join our planting & launch teams (Matt 9:37-38). These folks might be residents of the Grand Valley or Kingdom minded folks that would relocate here to help us launch the church.
    • Worship Leader – a true and skilled worshipper who will train and build teams. Humble in heart with a teachable spirit and that fits the chemistry of our team and the vision of the church.
    • Co-leader(s) for the Celebrate Recovery support group that will be launching this fall
    • Ministry leaders and faithful/dedicated servants who will labor with us and support the launch of NineSevenZero Church

Team – Personal Needs:

  • Provision, protection and God’s favor for the planting team and their families
  • Jon has been asked to consider a promotion by his employer
  • Kate started her new position at Colorado West Mental Health.
  • Steve still looking for a better paying job.

 NineSevenZero Church Planting Team Members:
