NineSevenZero Church Prayer Partner Update – 4/22/2013

Thank you again for being willing to intercede on behalf of the planting of NineSevenZero Church, the team members and their families. No team member or partner is more important than you. Planting a new church is a frontal assault on the gates of Hell and Satan does not give up ground without a fight. We know that these battles can only be won through prayer, fasting and courageous faith and that we are unable in our own strength, abilities and resources to wage these battles successfully. That’s is why we are so grateful for you, our Prayer Partners. Pray as the Spirit guides you but we would also appreciate you lifting the following needs up in prayer this week. THANK YOU!

Grand Valley:

  • The general population in the Grand Valley is 10% below national averages for expressing any faith preference and over 60 % of the population is either not involved or is only marginally involved in a church.
  • Most of the existing congregations and their clergy are old and do not reflect the generational and ethnic diversity of our communities. While there are a few large church in the valley, most are very small. Most of the newer churches are the result of church splits not planting efforts.

Current Work:

  • Recovery and redevelopment of web site.
  • Favor for the church plant application process with the Rocky Mountain District of the Assemblies of God
  • Expanding the Prayer Partners (thru email/direct solicitation and new landing page on web site)
  • Building of Strategic Alliances
    • Area Churches (Junction Community, Victory Life Church, Stillwater Cowboy Church, Connections Church, Downtown Vineyard)
    • Hope of the Grand Valley
  • Financial resourcing of the church plant

Planting Team Needs:

  • Nathan Haws finishing up his studies and finals at CBC before joining the planting team.
  • Favor and opportunity for team members to connect with people in the context of the workplace and community service.
  • Rocky Mountain District Council (Steve still hoping to attend but looking for transportation)
  • Steve’s employment – still looking for a day job that pays better
  • Financial provision and protection for the planting team and their families

 NineSevenZero Church Planting Team:

  • Steve & Sue Peschke
  • Jon & Kate Drackett (Jackson, son)
  • Nathan & Amanda Haws
